You can already see where I was starting to try to accelerate the drawing process. It gets even more rushed later on, as I got more tired. I'll be redoing some of it, of course.

Spanker Comic

For 24 Hour Comic Day a few years ago I wrote and penciled a 24-page Spanker one-shot comic. I inked some of it, but by about 3 am Lisa and I weren't producing anything useful and we decided to throw it in.

It sounds all reasonable when I say it now, but at the time we wanted to diiiie.

Anyway, sometime after that I finished inking the thing, and it's sat around until now. Now, in the gap between Diaperman #13 and #14, and before the script for the first full TDA is done, I have a bit of a window. And it'd be cool to have a few actual, physical comics done for Manitoba.

And this will be the first comic I have drawn and written all by myself, which is a personal milestone.

Possibly because it was snowing, possibly because of its advertising, attendance at this year's Calgary Expo was incredible. Even on the Sunday. Michael and I only had time for ONE iPhone lightsaber fight, and very few ridiculous songs were sung. But busy is good!
